FIFA 23 developers EA SPORTS have announced that the National Women’s Soccer League will be coming to the game later this month as the team redoubles its commitment to women’s soccer
FIFA 23 marked a notable step forward when it comes to representing women’s soccer compared to previous entries in the series. Chelsea’s Sam Kerr became the franchise’s first female cover star, while domestic women’s leagues such as the WSL and Division 1 Arkema made their debut.
This support has continued post-launch with the announcement that the Women’s World Cup will be included later, as well as the arrival of the Women’s Champions League.
Now, EA has taken things a step further by revealing that another new division is coming soon.
The developers have confirmed that the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) will be added to FIFA 23 in an update on Wednesday, March 15 . This will be the first time in history that the NWSL, the top women’s soccer league in the US, will appear in a video game.
This agreement between EA, the NWSL, and the National Women’s Soccer League Players Association (NWSLPA) is expected to extend beyond FIFA 23, so we can anticipate the return of the league in EA SPORTS FC 24 and beyond. there.

This may come as a disappointment to fans who wanted to embark on a Career Mode as one of the NWSL teams, but the community will no doubt be pleased to see the roster of women’s teams continue to grow in FIFA 23 and beyond.
